do i need to hire a lawyer

my daughter had an auto accident in may 2000. i was served with a law suit 12 march 2003. i turned the papers over to my insurance company and they said not to worry their lawyers would take care of it .the people who are sueing me are claiming personal injury but didnot go to the hospital from the accident site and no medical claim was turned in to my insurance. the only claim was for damages to their car do i need my own lawyer?

Your insurance company will assign you a lawyer. That is sufficient under the fact pattern you have given. You do not need a private attorney.
