Re: workplace bullying

Generally, NY permits suits for defamatio nof character and there is a long standing precedent where in which the Courts have established that work performance is a strong part of this character' so depending on the facts of your case you may be able to file a civil law suit against the co'worker for damages and seek an injunction to stop the filing of frivolous negative reports and or expunge these reports from your businesses records. Re: workplace bullying

Possibly, but I would need more information regarding the specific nature of the bullying and the procedural aspect of what has been done by the bullyer, by you and by management. Also I would need to know if your office has a specific employment policy in effect, whether you are in a union and the structure of the workplace. Is there an H.R. department.

Should you like to discuss this or any other legal matter, you can e-mail me for more information about low cost face-to-face, on-line, or a telephone consultation with a lawyer in our office.
