Legal Question in Insurance Law in New York

What is the time frame for fileing a suit after a car accident?

My car was totaled and I was injured in a car accident. The other driver was ticketed. I was not. I am losing five weeks of work and haven't finished my medical examinations yet. Should I consider fileing suit now?

The answer is three years. You should also obtain a competent automobile accident attorney to represent you.
