$30 dispute,lawyer says fee $200, bills $2000

oral agreetment on phone - no contract- agreed by lawyer & client charge for letter $200. Bill send for $2000.Letter was to answer $30 dispute. I am a senior citizen, don't want to lose credit. Lawyer won't take calls,e-mail. Can/should I request arbitrator?

It might be best to respond to the bill in weiting. Send the amount you agreed to send and ask for a correction in the bill.

And next time, call a more reputable attorney. 200 is a lot for a letter.
