Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

My landlord told us that we have to leave and find another place to live by June. We have been living here for 18 years and we have done nothing worng. We help the landlord out sometimes and my kids know no other place but this apartment they grew up in it. Our neighbors including on the block and across the street love us and dont have a problem with us at all. Everyone gets along. Is there anything we can do to fight this, perhaps a petition by our neighbors??

Yes. You have rights and cannot be evicted without being taken to Housing Court and having a judge execute a judgment of possession and Warrant of Eviction against you. We have substantial experience in these matters but would need some more information before making a complete and proper determination. You are welcome to contact us for a free consultation.
