Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

pets

When I found my half house on the internet. i loved it. the article even said pets were allowed. Now I dont have a copy of the internet printout that prompted me to choose this one. I just got an email from lanlord stating the puppies(2) had to go. I paid $600 for those puppies for my daughter who is an only child , for dping great acts in the community. Even though not stated in lease, I offered to pay extra a month for the puppies. Can I be evicted for this? How can I find the previous email that stated pets were allowed? I even stated I would keep the house free of damamge that can be caused by pets. Can I be evicted, bottom line?

Re: pets

If the lease specifically states that no dogs (or pets) are allowed, then you are out of luck. If it is silent on the issue of dogs/pets, then you are entitled to keep them. Keep in mind, however, the LL doesn't have to renew your lease at the end of the lease term.
