Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

Can a tenant be evicted because the apartment is not kept clean,is overly cluttered and this person also sleeps in their vehicle for hours at a time on an almost daily basis. Property is a four family in Freeport Other tenants have complained about odors in the hallway as well.

I do not think you can evict an individual because of odor in the hallway or that an individual sleeps in his car. However, you may want to contact the Department of Social Services to find out if this man is alright.
