Yes, she needs legal counsel NOW. There may be several insurance policies in play. Feel free to call me if you would like to discuss this further.

Depends. IIf her injuries are serious, yes. If she completely recovers in short while there is a good chance any case she brings for pain and suffering will be dismissed. Wait a month and see how she's doing. If she is still complaining, still treating with doctors and still out of school, call a lawyer. But note, the fee would be on a contingency basis. You would retain a lawyer, but not have to pay any fee until the case concludes favorably. You do want to report your daughter's injuries to both your car's insurance company, and the company insuring the bus. Do this now, to ensure receipt of no-fault benefits. ,Best, M. E. Zuller

I am sorry for your terrible ordeal. Your daughter certainly needs a lawyer. The insurance carrier may attempt a quick settlement that is significantly less than what your case may actually be worth. Therefore, it is important that you speak to a lawyer right away. Your insurance will handle her medical costs and the pain and suffering claim will be against the school bus insurance carrier. Depending on where the accident happened the city or municipal entity may be liable. If it is, then a notice of claim against the municipality must be filed in a short time.

Call me, Pasquale Calcagno, Esq., for a free consultation at 1(800)WE-FIGHT. We have convenient locations all over New York. There is no fee to us unless we win your case.
