Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

Drug Manufacturer Disclaimers

When you take a medication, you are given an informational pamphlet listing possible side effects. If the side effects were listed and you suffer from them do you have a case? My Mom suffers from 70% short term memory loss due to the effects of a drug she took. Listed in the pamphlet were demylanation, brain infarction and peripheral eschyma which she suffered hence causing her condition. She is an R.N. and can no longer work. Does she have any recourse?
