Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York
Injured on landlords property, offered settlement before having surgery. Hired attorney to negotiate further settlement after surgery, case dismissed by local judge on summery of judgement. Can I fire my attorney and contact insurance company directly to see if they are wiling to still settle before I file an appeal?

Yes, but probably not the best course. If you've lost confidence in the original attorney, better to retain new counsel if you possibly can. VTY, M. E. Zuller
