Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

I moved from my residence and have not sold my old house yet. A neighbor asked if they could use my driveway to park a vehicle in. I agreed that the neighbor could use the driveway if they plowed it with their truck. No money was exchanged. On a snowy day a family member of the neighbor fell in my driveway on snow or ice and broke a wrist. They are now suing me. Do I have liability in this case?

You have potential liability and so does your neighbor.

As property owner, you may. Report the accident and receipt of any papers to your homeowner's insurance company or broker immediately. Do not delay. Best, M. E. Zuller
