Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

If a person is awarded a lump sum in a settlement and the person being sued transfer's ownership of properties bank account and so forth after the settlement, what could be done in order for this person to get paid?

The party owed money would want to prove there was a fraudulent transfer of assets, to avoid execution of a judgment or payment of a stipulated settlement. Not easy. It might be best to try and have the settlement award converted into a judgment and filed in court. Best, M. E. Zuller
