While a personal injury lawyer cannot give a client money... I do not know if a personal injury lawyer could bail a client out of jail. I do not see anything per se unethical about that. I will say this I could understand if a personal injury lawyer had put thousands of dollars and thousands of hours in a case and needed the plaintiff to show up for trial that he would bail out a client so that he/she could be present for trial.
