Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

Should I quit my Job

I was in a train accident back in 2004 and they admitted fault right away. I had a two level fusion in my lower back and I have missed alot of work and don't think I can do my job forever. My lawyer is telling me if I don't think I can do my job for the rest of my life I should find a new one now. would you think that if I quit my job 1 month befor case is over you would make up for money lost by switching to a lower paying job in your case.

Re: Should I quit my Job

You should to do whatever makes you most financially and physically comfortable. You are not expected to continue working at job which you are unable to perform due to your injury. Taking a lower paying job will neither help nor hurt your case, at least not significantly. Bottom line: Your accident occurred approximately four years ago and there is very little you can do to alter the outcome even if you try. Relax and leave the work to your attorney.
