Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
I own an apartment in NYC and my friend is staying in it for about 4 days, while I am in Latvia. I have a simple lock on my bedroom door that accidentally closed from the inside, so she needed to call a locksmith, which cost 300 dollars. Is there any legal basis to get this money refunded since the company had absolutely no permission from the owner to be in the apartment or touch the lock?
