Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Deed form 8-1/2 x14?

Is the new york standard deed form 8-1/2x14? If so,

is it required that it be that size? Can it be 8-1/2x11?

Which form should I use? I want to add my daughter to my

deed.

Thank you

You should contact the Clerk's Office for your Deed recording, in order to obtain specific info re the Deed and the supporting documents you will need to file and record.

Also, the "type" of Deed and the specific wording, should be of more concern to you, than the size of the paper. The "type" of Deed info is not generally available from the Clerk's Office.

Good luck,

There are no requirements as to the size of the paper that I am aware of.

What is important is the language in the deed. I don't know where you got your blank deed, but make sure that none of the language has been cut off.
