Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Forclosure

I had my house forclosed on and really have no where to go. The finance company is offering me a small amount to move or face eviction. How long can that take? I live in New York

Re: Forclosure

Depending on your situation and location, an eviction can be stretched out from one to several months. You need to tell the Judge you have not found another place, etc.

Have the finance co give you enough $$ for a deposit and couple months rent plus moving expenses, etc.
