Do you have a lease? Typically the landlord cannot kick someone out for reasons which are not included in the terms of the lease. From a practical standpoint, the landlord would have to begin an eviction proceeding, and the landlord may or may not be concerned about his legal costs and the possibility of losing. The housing court does not want to throw people out of their homes because the landlord wants to get a higher rent.

In this case you really need to see a lawyer in person to review the lease.

Good luck.

If no lease you are a month to month tenant and with proper notice he can evict you. If you have a lease snd not in default you need to see an attorney
