Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

If my landlord wants to sell their property and I have no where else to live, ca

I have been living inm y apartment for over 4 years with a small child. My landlord decided they want to sell. They verbally told me of their intentions to sell. What are my rights as far as how long I can remain here (while still paying rent) and what rights do they have to let Real Estate and potential buyers into my apartment? Can they do this while I am not home? What are my responsibilities as far as the cleanliness of my apartment while they are showing it?

I need more information. In particular, I need to know if you are living in the apartment under a written lease agreement or if there is no lease. If there is a lease, I need to know if the lease expired.

Mike.
