letter of satisfaction on a mortgage
I had a mortgage in 1993 which was paid off, but I never received a letter of satifsfaction for the court house. The bank is no longer in existence. How do I get a letter of satisfaction. We are ready to sell our house.

If the sat was not filed, you may not be able to retrieve the document if the bank is out of existence. However, you can start an action to quiet title under the NY RPAPL.
