how to i protect my fathers home from his soon to be ex wife, he is in 1st stage alzheimers and we feel she is trying to commit him and move on. we have property and the home in ny

I do not know what you mean when you write "soon to be ex wife?" Is there a divorce proceeding?

Also, you do not include enough information concerning present ownership of the house. Is the house solely owned by father? In joint names?

How is the future ex wife trying to commit father? Did she start an Article 81 (guardianship) proceeding?

I may be able to help, but I certainly need more information.
