Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

One Sibling buying out other three

Mom passed in 07. Only asset house which oldest sibling lived in w/her. Found his name to be on deed as Jt Ten w/rts of suviorship. (for a small 2nd mtg) Her will stated house divided 4 ways. He has gotten a mtg and his lawyers are getting a pkg together for us 3. He claims he is trying to be fair. We want fair market value. What if his offer is not FMV? He and I are Co-executors, which I have been told he needs to renounce. Is it best to have a lawyer look over everything before we agree? House is in Long Island, NY. He has not been forthcoming with documents I have asked to see, and only tells us what he wants to.
