Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in New York

Someone is sexually harassing me

I am being sexually harassed by someone with whom I do not work with or go to school with. I do not know where this person works or lives. He continually shows up at my job , sends me e-mails, Instant messages me when I am online, and is always making sexual advances at me. I have repeatedly told this person to leave me alone altogether and he is still making advances towards me. What can I do about it?

Re: Someone is sexually harassing me

This is not sexual harassment - it's called STALKING, and it's illegal under New York State law. Stalkers can be dangerous and you should contact the police and/or district attorney's office to discuss the best way to end this highly inappropriate conduct.

Good luck!
