Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

Seatbelts!

My brother was pulled over for not wareing a seatbelt. Having a prior suspended license, prior DUI's, I am told this is very bad and could result in jail time... how do we avoid this?

Re: Seatbelts!

Your brother, if he was still under suspension (DUI related) is looking at the possibility of 60 days in jail and a $1,000.00 fine, in addition to violating the terms of his probation. In other words, he better retain an attorney ASAP, if he is located near SouthWestern PA have him call my office as soon as possible.

Re: Seatbelts!

More details are needed before offering an opinion. I would need to know in which court the seatbelt charge is returnable, where the other charges were adjudicated, is the individual on parole or probation and the dates of each offense and conviction. Please send said info to my attention via e-mail @ [email protected] along with your address,phone,e-mail and I will be happy to evaluate the situation.
