Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

speeding ticket 13 years ago

I have a Vermont lic. and just moved to NY.I remember getting a speeding ticket about 13 years ago..I know I never paid it.No reason why, just stupidity......I need to get a NY lic and don't want to just walk into the DMV and be told then that I have a suspended lic or even worse a warrent for my arrest.I have renewed my VT lic since the ticket and nothing came up about my speeding ticket in NY..Are the two states connected?I know VT and MA are because of a ticket I got in MA that came up when I renewed my VT lic(that one was paid...Im a little smarter now)How do I go about finding out if my lic is suspended befor just going to the DMV???Thanks in advance....

Vt and NY have a reciprocal summons system. There are reasons as to why you were able to renew your license in Vt, but they require a lengthy discussion. I am a retired Traffic Court Judge with much experience in this area. . You may contact my office to set up a free phone consultation @7188340087,but after Labor day as I will be vacationing out of town.

NY and VT are connected. They share information which makes it odd that VT doesn't know about your NY suspension. In any event, we can locate and clear the NY suspension. Feel free to email me at [email protected] or give me a call.
