Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

summons legibility law

I received a summons and the date of the violation is 8/15/2000. Since this date is not here yet, does this void the summons or invalidate it?

Re: summons legibility law

According to NJ Court Rule 7:10-2, the Court may

amend the ticket for any omission or defect therein

or for any variance between the complaint and the

evidence adduced at trial.

In other words, the incorrect date does not invalidate the ticket.

Please call me at (856)797-1414 for a free consultation

if you need legal assistance.
