Re: attorney fee for handling an estate

There is no fee schedule like estate fiduciaries (executors and trustees). Most attorneys charge by actual time involved at some hourly rate, although a few charge a percentage of the probate estate (assets passing by Will). My suggestion is to shop around and get a competent attorney who will only charge at his hourly rate. In part, depending on how complicated the estate is and what has to be done, this could be inexpensive or expensive.
