Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

Blind trust/lottery

Would a NYC resident be able to claim a Mega Millions or NYS lottery win, anonymously from the public? If so, would they be able to collect, via a blind trust fund?

Re: Blind trust/lottery

I do not believe so as the lottery terms and conditions most likely describe your obligations for accepting the winnings. Once the lottery is claimed and taxes are withheld, you could then transfer the funds to a trust account.
