My father recently died with a will, my mother is still living and beneficiary of will. Father's attorney retired (didn't let us know) so now I would like to know do we kneed lawyer to execute will? If not, what would we have to do? I have younger brother tht is on the same

Presuming you have the original Will, it needs to be probated by the Executor, if tere are assets it covers. This is a relatively simple procedure and while having an attorney assist, it is not necessary, as the Surrogate can walk you through everything.
