Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

estate law in NY state

executor is not doing his job . Can we petition the judge about having a court appointed executor settle the estate. How do we do that.?( It is about 8 months since the will was read.)

You may petition the Surrogate's Court to compel the Executor to account for the estate.
