Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

Three of us inherited same amount of money. Lawyer sent one of heirs sent package telling how much she is inherting. Was told have notrized and send back then will send another package out to another heir and repeat the same process, when this is done final heir will receive package causing another delay. Is this legal or can i contact attorney genera; to see what my recourse is.

I am not sure what the package contained. I presume it had something to do with accounting for the estate and possibly documets to close the estate. While it is not "illegal" to send these documents sequestionally, it is unusual to do it that wa, rather than to all heirs simultaneously..
