Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

Person number 2 is in persons number one's will. They are in an auto accident & person number 1 dies immediately. Person number 2 lives a few hours & dies in the hospital. Does person number 2 still inherit the money & it's passed on to person number two's heirs, or is there a 24 hour waiting period for this to happen?

It depends on language in Will if this is covered. If not, I agree with David. Traditional is mere survival and to heirs, if survive, unless Will contains other language.
