Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

probate

My sister and I were named heirs in my brothers will. she will be executrix. can she leggally take my name off his will? I had received a form from surrogate court stating I have sign soemthing to make her excutrix with a notary. if I sign that will I be taken off the will?

A. No. However, you are allowed to waive your rights under a will.
