Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

Property transfer

My father passed 2 yrs ago and left some things such as vehicles and some property. The property is still in his name and the executors decided to give the property to me. They have all signed an agreement to this but I don't know how legally to get the property deeded over. Quick claim deed ?

Re: Property transfer

A simple Executor's Deed should do it. However, I am surprised that after 2 years there has been no sale or re-registration of vehicles. Who is paying the insurance, using the cars, etc.? This should have been attended to by now, and the Executor has the authority to sell or sign transfer papers. If there is an accident involving these vehicles, claims could be made against the estate, so this should be resolved ASAP.
