Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

there are uncliamed funds from my deseased mother in law my ex husband does not wish to obtain these . Are any of my children elidigle for these I live in ny state my ex husband was an only child

Maybe. It would depend on the ex mother-in-law's will (if she had one). The executor or the administrator of the estate would have to make application for the funds.
