My uncle passed away and I know he had a great deal of money. I want to know how do I find out if he left a will and testament , he also lived in a house that belonged to my grandmother I need to know how I can find out if he left a will and if not how do I go about finding out what to do with the money he left in the bank .

Re: Wills and Testaments

My condolences on your loss.

Regarding tracking down his assets and identifying whether his estate will be distributed testate (with a will) or intestate (without a will), I recommend that you determine if HE had a lawyer or a safe deposit box. You must also go through all of his papers that are left in his home, page by page.

Inquiring of other relations and/or close friends is also important.

If this does not answer all of your questions, then you are welcome to meet with me and I can (i) research the property deed, (ii) identify other possible devisees, (iii) find the terms of all bank accounts, and similar fiancial assets pursuant to having the estate probated.

This is what lawyers do. Feel free to follow up with any other questions.
