how long on credit report

i filed chpt. 7 in jan. 91 in north carolina, how long untill it drops off my credit report,also on my credit report it does not state that it has been discharged, does that make any diff. also can you file chapter 7 again if you live in another state, the state being fl

Yes, after 6 yrs. form the date you originally filed. Jan. '91 + 6yrs. = Jan. '97.

Under fed. law credit agencies may report your bkruptcy. for up to 14 yrs.

Fed. law also allows you to write up to 200 words to report your discharge if you feel it is importat to do that. Those reading your report are interested in your credit worthiness not whether you got your discharge.
