Legal Question in Business Law in North Carolina

I did a video about Duke energy a year ago as a college project. I wish to use it in my portfolio as well as post it on youtube or vimeo.com Duke says I cant because they agreed to do interviews only for school purposes and not for any real public viewing, however this is my best work Ive ever done. It is a fair documentary that takes no side for or against duke energy. it just states the facts. Is it legal for me to use it for such purposes or could they take legal action against me? the project was done locally in Charlotte, NC and is about a local energy plant being built

If those were the terms that you agreed to at the time you commenced the work, those are the terms that are in effect. Therefore. you can't use it for other purposes. Without reading the agreement, I cannot comment further.
