Non-Contact Restraining Order

If someone files a restraining order agaisnt you and you do not live in the same state. How would contact over the internet affect this situation. Can some one file a restraining order accross state lines? Ny - NC.

If there is a restraining order against you, you would be wise to leave them alone. If you have a valid reason for contacting them, then you should consult with an attorney regarding the best way to handle that issue. It would be improper for an attorney to tell you how to get around a restraining order.
