Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

I have a car loan with a finance company. Because of a job loss & relocation I have been late with some car payments. I am currently behind by two payments. I was called by the finance company about this. I explained that it will be made current in the next few days. That information was placed in my account records. The day following that call another call from a different person in that finance company was made. My questions are (1) Is that 2nd call considered harassment? & (2) Can I request that I only be contacted by mail in the future?
