Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

responsiblenfor my ex-husbands debits?

Am I responsible for any debts my ex-husband may have if they were before our divorce/separation? I am not aware of any that I approved of but my phone number is on thier records as his number,so I am worried that this might be the case. They only ask for him and will not tell me the reason for calling but I know they are a debt collection agency.

It can really depend. Again, if they are not trying to collect from you but just trying to reach your ex, I would log the calls and insist they don't call anymore.
