Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina
I was at a friends house hanging out. Then my wife at the time showed up and started on me. The next thing I know the cops was ,called and Iw went to jail.When I went to court they dnined me a lawer see I can't read or write and also don't understand some things.My question is can they decline me a lawer.

They can decline to appoint a lawyer if you are able to pay for one yourself. Your ablity to read or write is irrelevant but you seem to be doing fine to me.
