Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina

i recently went to a gas station sent my friend in to pay for 10 dollars in gas but before he went in to pay for the a he put the nozzel in my gas tank and push the lever up while im sitting in the car on the phone it pumped 19 dollars over. The attendent had turned on the pump as my friend was walking into the store but he wasnt suppose to because it was a prepay pump. Wen my friend got back out the store to pump our gas the attendent came out the door and said that the pump has already. The attendent and i procecced to argue and he then told me that the reason he turned it on was because he thought that i would get mad if he didnt turn on the pump. The attendent then told me to leave the premisses and he would pay so i left. A couple days later i got served with a warrent for larceny of gas. I want to know if i can get some kind of legal help in this matter?
