Of course she can forbid you! Heck, I can forbid you - watch - I forbid you! That's meaningless, what you really want to know is can she prevent you from seeing your elderly father. That's more complicated. There's legally and there's the real world. Legally she can not prevent you unless she is a guardian or otherwise oversees your father because he is in some fashion incompetent or incapacitated. Even then you can petition the court to overrule her. However, in the real world even though she really can't legally prevent you from seeing your elderly father she can put up some road blocks that will effectively stop you like not letting you on the property and not letting him off it or placing him somewhere and not telling you where.
