does my soninlaw still have rights?

my son inlaw took off a month after the baby was born. he came back one month before her first birthday. Not one word from him til then. Three months later beat my daughter up and ended up in jail . she made a plea bargin to let him off if he gives up all rights and pays for the divorce . 1 and half yesrs later when she contacted him for the divorce . he said he wasn't going to pay or give up rights . he could have faught for her but never did . she is three and has never paid one cent to her. help

If the father of the child has a job/assets and his address is known, your daughter should go to the county courthouse and ask about child support enforcement. Most counties have an office to help people get child support. He would still be entitled to visitation, but if your daughter refuses, it'll be up to him to file suit against her to get visitation.
