Legal Question in Civil Litigation in North Carolina

internet porn

I was once in a relationship with a man who videotaped everything. We have seperated and now I am married living in another state. He is now saying that he is going to be making $$ from the sex tapes that he took of me through the internet. He lives in LV NV and I live in Wilmingotn NC. What I did in my past, is just that, in my past. We have a 12 yr old daughter that unfortunatly lives with him...her choice. Him and I were never married. What are my rights to stop this, and is it against any law that he does this? Please I really need help FAST! I am 42 yrs old and do not want my ''past'' out on the internet.

There may be no laws directly on point governing this situation, and you may or may not have a remedy here. You may want to consult with an attorney to determine to discuss the facts in more detail, and to assess whether you had any sort of formal or informal agreement or understanding about the use of the tapes. As a practical matter, that industry is so flooded that you risk from his proposed enterprise may be minimal.
