Legal Question in Immigration Law in North Carolina

adjustment of status?

my fiancee's parents entered the

country legally on a visa when she

was an infant, and now we are

talking about marriage. i am a U.S.

born citizen, but her parents visa

expired more than 12 years ago.

can she file for an adjustment of

status? when i graduate with my

degree i should be making about

38-45k starting off as a distribution

manager. so i would make enough to

support us both, and she has no

criminal background. what are her

chances of staying in this country

after we get married? what are the

chances she is deported? i dont know

if this helps, but she is from

overseas, and not from south

america. how long does this process

take/cost after (roughly) after lawyer

fees and fines? i really want this to

be a quick process because she is

dying to go to college. thank u for ur

time and help.

Re: adjustment of status?

Yes, she may file for an adjustment of status and your income would be fine as long as it is reflected on your mots recent IRS tax returns.

My legal fee is $950.
