Legal Question in Military Law in North Carolina

Fraternization Discharge

My husband and I have been married for almost a year, and he recently became a marine officer. I'm an active duty marine and since we were married before he was commisoned, we're in the clear. However, it's been a rough year, and I wanted to know if I could get discharged because of an enlisted/officer marriage.

Re: Fraternization Discharge

If the two of you were married prior to his commissioning, you should not have any problems with regard to fraternization. The regs have an exception for married personnel so neither of you should get into any trouble. However, be careful not to give anyone an excuse to try to get something on the two of you.
