Legal Question in Personal Injury in North Carolina

Injuries incurre in Veterans Hospitals

What is the statute of limitations for injuries incurred in a Veterans Hospital?

I was misdiagnosed as having bone infection years ago. I actually had Reiter Syndrome. The doctors removed my toe joint before finding no infection. Medication was withheld to reduce inflammation for several weeks. By that time, the disease had spread and resulted in bone damage in my lower back and deformed other toes. The genetic marker was already present in tests, but overlooked.

Probably two years. You claim would be under the Federal Tort Claims Act. Off the top of my head I do not know if the FTCA has a discovery rule that would help you if you didn't know of the damage or the claim. You should contact an attorney. Feel free to call. 1-800-838-0800
