Legal Question in Personal Injury in North Carolina

i have a personal injury case and my lawyer retired in september 2009 and he didnt finish my case. my three years was up on jan. 17 2010, does this mean that there is nothing else i can do.

If the statute of limitations for your case has expired, then your only claim would be against your attorney, if it was his responsibility to file suit for you. This would depend on your exact agreement with him, and whether he communicated to you that he was going to retire and not finish your case. You may want to consult with an attorney and provide him or her with more information to decide if you have a claim.
